Victoria Lewis
The two works shown here, by Stratford artist Victoria Lewis, are done on large panels with oil sticks. Each landscape is "constucted from pieces of other landscapes and views in the outside world." The oil stick, oil paint in a solid form resembling a crayon, allows Victoria to apply the oil in a robust burst of colour and shape. Each work exerts the energy of the Canadian landscape Victoria admires.
Top to bottom: Drift 48" x 48"; Island 48" x 48". For more information on Victoria's work please contact the store.
