We are pleased to be having another David Sharpe exhibit, opening on Saturday November 22nd from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. David will also be present on Sunday November the 23rd from 12:00 to 3:00 pm. The exhibit continues until December the 7th.

Congratulations Leslie Watts!
Congratulations to Stratford artist, Leslie Watts, on having the painting of her son, titled Stefan, 23, selected for exhibition in the BP Portrait Award exhibit, 2014. The juried competition received 2,377 entries from 71 countries, with 55 portraits being selected for the final exhibition. Leslie's portrait has been done in Egg Tempera on Clayboard and is 20"x16". The BP exhibition will be on at The National Portrait Gallery in London, England from June 26 - September 21, 2014 and will then tour to the Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens for October and November when it will move to The Scottish National Portrait Gallery until April 2015.

David Sharpe
Congratulations to Stratford artist, David Sharpe, on having his painting, Ridge Light, receive overall show second prize as well as the Calendar Award at the 2014 Paint Ontario Show. This year's show had 400 entries and 150 paintings were juried in. The Paint Ontario exhibit is currently running at The Grand Bend Heritage Museum in Grand Bend, Ontario and is on until March 30th. More of David's oil paintings can be seen at Village Studios, throughout the year.

Jed's Boards
We have great new boards by local crafts person, Jed Kipfer of Jed's Boards. Jed is working with local and some imported wood to make end grain boards that are both durable chopping boards and beautiful boards to have on display in any kitchen. The top board has Elm, Walnut, Cherry and Ash in it and the bottom board is Hickory. We have a number of shapes and sizes in stock in a variety of woods.

Opening Bonnie Steinman and Helen Edmonds
We will be opening a drawing exhibit of work by Stratford artists, Bonnie Steinman and Helen Edmonds, on the weekend of March 1st and 2nd. The artists will be in attendance Saturday evening 7:00 - 9:00 and Sunday afternoon 1:00 - 3:00*. Show runs evening of March 1st to March 22nd.

Bill Schwarz
We are very excited to welcome a new artist to Village Studios, Bill Schwarz. Bill is from Cambridge, Ontario but his wonderful urban landscapes are inspired by his travels around the world. He transforms the architecture he sees into bold planes of colour and simple shapes, allowing the viewer to immediately relate to the scene before him.
